Asteroid 'to destroy Earth in four weeks' September 21 could be our last day: Conspiracy theorists claim

Asteroid to destroy Earth in four weeks It is claimed an asteroid that will be 2.5miles wide could hit Puerto Rico, wreaking devastation across the planet.

It has been claimed that our planet will be destroyed in 4 weeks as a huge asteroid heads towards Earth. Conspiracy theorists claim that it will arrive between September 21 – 28 and it could be the end of the world The origins of the claim come from self-proclaimed prophet Efrain Rodriguez, who has passed his research onto NASA.

Mr. Rodriguez’s prediction appears to support the Blood Moon Prophecy, with September 28 marking the last of four 'blood moons'. He claimed that disaster looms when a lunar eclipse - which last took place in April 2014 - is followed by 6 full moons.

He says he had a vision of the asteroid "entering the airspace of the town of Arecibo in Puerto Rico, hitting the sea between the island of Mona and Mayaguez and triggering a magnitude 12 earthquake". Because the prophecy had so many people worried, NASA has been forced to issue a statement clarifying matters. A Guy from NASA's Near-Earth Object office, named Paul Chodas, has thrown out the claims. He said: "There is no supporting evidence that a huge asteroid or any other celestial object is on a trajectory that will impact Earth.”

"In fact, not a single one of the known objects has any credible chance of hitting our planet over the next century. "There is no scientific basis, not one shred of evidence, that an asteroid or any other celestial object will impact Earth on those dates."
