Maricar Cabral-Osorio, a nurse working in a florida hospital, have encountered some horrible scenes in the years working as a medical staff, but this time it really shocked her, when a teenage beauty queen was rushed to the emergency room one late evening.
The aspiring beauty queen told doctors she is suffering extreme abdominal cramping, and doctors originally thought the young teen might be pregnant. An ultrasound ruled out the possibility of the young beauty queen being pregnant, leaving the medical staff bewildered.
As doctors began to delve into other causes of her abdominal cramping, the girl continued to complain and cry out in pain. Abruptly, she ran into the bathroom, violenty vomiting till she cannot breathe and would be gasping for air.
The medical staff, Maricar Cabral-Osorio ran to the bathroom to check on the girl as she continued to voimit. Then she saw in the toilet that horrified her more than anything else she'd seen working as a nurse in ER. Full grown tapeworms moving around in the toilet bowl, squirming about and trying to get out of the toilet bowl.
Maricar was really shocked and stood there frozen. Tapeworms are a form of parasite that gestate inside the body and grow to incredible lengths. Tapeworms usually burrow in undercooked food specially meat like pork and beef as a result of poor cooking methods. Most infections occur in developing countries.

Police are searching for an angry husband who is accused of biting off his wife’s nose and eating it, according to eyewitnesses.
The victim, Yang Han, from east China’s Shandong Province, went to local media to tell her story after reporting the incident to police.

According to Yang, she and her husband had been arguing for several years and the situation got so bad that she was considering a divorce.
She said her husband had become lazy and negligent, and didn’t want to take care of his family.
She added that he was also stubborn and neglected his elderly parents, leaving everything for her to do.
“I was angry at him over just about everything so I didn’t answer his calls one night.
“The next day he went to the factory where I worked and attacked me.
“He had a red face so I could see he was annoyed and he just attacked me without warning.”
She said when her colleagues tried to free her, her husband tugged her hair back and shockingly bit on the nose, ripping it off.
Despite the shocking attack, local police said they still don’t have Yang’s husband in custody, as he fled the scene. He took the nose with him and allegedly ate it.
“He ran. They are still looking for him,” Yang said
In the meantime, Yang has sought help from local doctors and cosmetic clinics who have confirmed that her nose will effectively never be the same.
Police say they have no reason to believe Yang’s husband was mentally ill and he faces a lengthy jail term if convicted.

Conspiracy theorists are predicting a cataclysmic event which will destroy civilisation - because of the looming blood moon and a prophesied meteor strike.
End-of-time cranks on various blogs and websites have come up with the period between September 22-28 as the likely time frame for the impending catastrophe.

She told the Liverpool Echo: “There are claims that, with the moon getting closer to Earth, that there is an increased risk of events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions - this is false."
“With the moon being closer to us than usual, and provided you have a clear night, observers should take advantage of the moon’s stunning lunar seas along with its beautiful craters and mountains, which can be observed with binoculars or a telescope," she continued.
Many biblical theorists maintain the event will trigger the Rapture and the start of a seven-year-tribulation.
These theories, which are restricted to tiny minority of churches and groups, have been dismissed by scientists and are thought to be well wide of the mark.
Fortunately for us, almost all asteroids are destroyed due to the extreme atmospheric friction heating they receive, breaking up into harmless shards that burn up before hitting the ground.
NASA has made asteroid detection a high priority.
A spokesperson said: "NASA knows of no asteroid or comet currently on a collision course with Earth, so the probability of a major collision is quite small.
"In fact, as best as we can tell, no large object is likely to strike the Earth any time in the next several hundred years."
They are also developing strategies to help to identify asteroids that might pose a risk of hitting Earth and developing options for planetary defence.

What is a Blood Moon?
Fans of the Twilight books are already familiar with this term, but alas it has nothing to do with blood sucking vampires.
In fact a Blood Moon is a rather spectacular sight caused by the reflection of sunlight on the Earth's atmosphere - which is red to the naked eye. The blood moon acquires a golden, copper, or even rusty-red color depending on where the sun is - and it's usually low in the sky or near the horizon.
What is the Blood Moon Prophecy?
The hypothesis was originally made famous by Christian ministers John Hagee and Mark Biltz who said the ongoing "tetrad" - four consecutive lunar eclipses which began in April 2014 with six full moons in between - is the indicator of the end of earth as described in the Bible in Acts 2:20 and Revelation 6:12.
The pair insist some sort of tragic event is set to hit earth and possibly wipe it out - but the reality is this is not the first time we've had such a phenomenon. "The last time there was a tetrad was back in the 1900s, and to my amazement, they also fell on the feasts of Passover and Tabernacles," explains Blitz. "When I noticed the years these phenomena occurred, my mind began reeling. The last two times there were four blood moons in a row, they happened, first, right after Israel became a nation in 1948, and then again when Israel retook Jerusalem in 1967.”
The "blood moon" theory is interpreted from the Book of Joel, which says: "the sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes."
Why all the doom and gloom?
Well, it's complicated and it depends who you believe. Some say it signals a significant celestial event, others say it will trigger the second coming while more yet are predicting a catastrophic asteroid hit that will blow the planet to smitherines.
Rev Efrain Rodriguez is one self-proclaimed prophet who is so convinced he got a message from God - in fact, he was so sure of it, he wrote to NASA to warn them about his fears. He regularly updates readers of his Facebook page with stark warnings he says are from a deity - and for those who believe him - it's a pretty bleak outlook.
If what he's saying is true then it's time to say goodbye to loved ones as he claims an asteroid up to 2.5miles wide will strike Puerto Rico and will go on to wipe out the world as we know it.
Rodriguez's vision saw a massive asteroid "entering the airspace of the town of Arecibo in Puerto Rico, striking the sea between the island of Mona and Mayaguez and triggering a magnitude 12 earthquake."
If it has any basis in fact, this claim would undoubtedly cause a planet altering event - as the world's most powerful earthquake left 4,485 people dead and injured as well as 2 million homeless after it struck southern Chile in 1960. It was 9.5 on the Richter scale.
So when is this likely to happen?
While those behind the theory claim the so-called prophecies are set to strike a blow - but they can't pin point an exact date.
The outcome of the end of days could actually be anywhere from September 21 to 28 - with some eyeing a final date of around September 23 or 24.
For those who are simply interested in watching the spectacle of the last lunar tetrad – the fourth eclipse in this trend will take place on the night of September 27 into 28.
What are the scientists saying?
If you're not sure what to believe and think the prophecy could come true - you are in good company. However it might not be time to pack your survival kit just yet or call up Richard Branson to see if you can book a spot on his space craft either.
Such is the hysteria in America, NASA have taken the unusual step of issuing a statement to clarify matters.
Paul Chodas, from NASA's Near-Earth Object office, has thrown out the claims.
"There is no existing evidence that an asteroid or any other celestial object is on a trajectory that will impact Earth," he said. "In fact, not a single one of the known objects has any credible chance of hitting our planet over the next century. There is no scientific basis, not one shred of evidence, that an asteroid or any other celestial object will impact Earth on those dates."
A Mother in Chile severely neglected her 2 year old son because of alcohol and amazingly a dog breastfed the child and probably saved his life.
The malnourished two year old boy was seen breastfeeding from his neighbors dog who is called Reina, after his drunk mother allegedly abandoned him without food or water in the desert port of Arica.
Investigators arrived at the scene and saw the child who is severely malnourished and was taken to the Hospital to undergo physical examination.
Doctors found out that he is also suffering from an infestation of lice and skin infections which is now being treated in the hospital. Locals are very proud that an animal saved a young boys life.
A 17-year-old boy died after reportedly playing an online computer game for 22 days straight. The young man had broken his leg and was bored at home, using video games to pass the time.
The teen, known as Rustam, only stopped playing Defence of the Ancients when he had to sleep and eat. According to investigators, the teen spent more than 2,000 hours playing the game in the past year and a half.
Doctors say that Rustam may have died from second class syndrome, thrombosis. This occurs when people stay still for a long period of time without moving around to keep blood flowing. Police spokesperson Svetlana Abramova said.

Scientists have analyzed a protein in the saliva of a common South American tick, which has a Scientific name of Amblyomma cajennense, that alledgedly diminishes and can even eliminate cancerous cells while not attacking healthy cells.
This is a cutting edge innovation to finally have a better cure for cancer," said Ana Marisa Chudzinski-Tavassi, the molecular scientist at the Instituto Butantan in Sao Paulo Brazil who leads the research about tick saliva. "The saliva of the tick and its components may one day be the cure for cancer," she told AFP. She said she found the properties of the protein, called Factor X active, while examining the anti-coagulant properties of the tick's saliva stops blood coagulating and clotting so the tick can keep eating on its host.
The said protein shares some common characteristics with an anti-coagulant called TFPI (Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor), categoricallya Kunitz-type inhibitor which has been shown to alter cell growth. Experimentation and testing show that the protein might have a reaction on cancer cells and it led to laboratory tests on cell cultures which exceeded all expectations. "To our amazement it didn't attack the normal cells, which were also tested," Chudzinski-Tavassi said. The amazing thing about the tick saliva is it, eliminated the cancerous cells that were being tested. In her humble laboratory, housed in a rundown building, a line of pompous ticks could be seen lined up with tubes attached under their heads. The miniscule amounts of saliva filtered that way was reproduced many times over in yeast vats so that experiments could be carried out on lab rats with cancer.
The results have clearly shown promise. "I treated an infected mouse every day for 14 days with small tumor, this tumor doesn't grow it even degenerates. The tumor mass decrease. If I treat the mouse for 42 days, it totally eliminates the tumor," Chudzinski-Tavassi said. Producing a working medicine from the find, will require some time and a significant financial investment neither of which Brazil is ready to provide. Chudzinski-Tavassi is currently applying for a patent on the tick protein, and will submit her team's discovery in medical conferences around the world. But she says moving beyond her lab "proof of concept" will be very difficult and frustrating. Mystery sea monster with fur and beak washes up on a beach Marine biologists have are baffled by this strange creature, with pictures that went viral on Russian social media The mystery sea monster with a beak like a bird and fur on its tail has reportedly washed up on a beach, bewildering marine bilogists.
The remnants of the huge creature had been found in the Russian Far East on a remote beach of Sakhalin Island, a place which is much closer to the United States than Moscow.
With a blood soaked carcass shredded apart and bones jutting, marine biologists have yet to classify the strange prehistoric-like monster, which has the same anatomy to a dolphin but is twice as large as a human being. Photos on the Siberian Times website show what appears to be a thick long hair dangling off the creature's carcass, a peculiar characteristic that has baffled marine biologists.
Nikolay Kim, deputy head of the Forecasting Department at the Sakhalin Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography, said he believed it to be "a huge dolphin like creature". Given the characteristics of the epidermis, it is a rare specie, Mr Kim said. "I highly doubt that it lived in our waters. Most likely, the animal was brought by a warm current." "We often find tropical and subtropical species here in Sakhalin and some of them are trapped on winter and freeze to death," Mr Kim say. And based on my observations I can definitely say that this is some kind of a dolphin.
However this creature is baffling because of its fur and It's unusual. A Texas teenager who contracted a rare brain-eating disease after swimming in a lake about 70 miles (110 km) north of Houston has died, according to his family and the local media.
The 14-year-old Michael Riley Jr., a junior athlete and honor student, appears to have contracted the disease after he went swimming on August 13 in his team track, his father Mike Riley KTRK said earlier this week.
"It is with a heavy heart, we let everyone know that Michael John Riley Jr. lost his battle in this world but won a victory for his place in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ," the family said in a statement on Their page late on Saturday night on Facebook.
A spokeswoman for Texas Children's Hospital, where Riley is listed as a patient, declined to provide information when reached on Sunday, citing patient confidentiality.
The disease is caused by exposure to a single-celled organism known as Naegleria fowleri, often referred to as the brain-eating amoeba.
It is commonly found in warm freshwater such as lakes, rivers and hot springs, as well as the ground. It usually infects people when contaminated water enters the body through the nose, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Contracting encephalitis is rare, it said.
The organism is usually found in the southern United States during the summer, when temperatures are highest, said the CDC. Of the 133 people known to have been infected in the United States since 1962, only three survived, said the CDC.

Indian conjoined twins found love with the same person after years of decline due to their appearance, the English daily news website Daily Mail reported Friday.
Ganga and Jamuna Mondal, who share four arms, three legs and a belly but have separate hearts, both fallen in love with the school teacher, Jasimuddin Ahmad.
"It was love at first sight," said Ganga.
"When we met we both felt Jasimuddin this is someone who is really love us. And he was - he loved us straight from the heart," he added.
"We are very happy because he came into our lives. We have suffered in the past but we do not want to suffer anymore. We really hope to spend the rest of our lives to him," said Jamuna.
The sisters, with separate kidneys and livers, was single all their lives given their unusual appearance.

A seven year old boy was found alive in a family of pigs, and are unable to communicate with people. When social workers visited the family home in Fangyu City, Henan Province in central China, they found the boy in one of the pig pen, covered with dirt and grime and bruises and cuts all over his body.
